Sales Engineer – Safety Service

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    The essential tasks of Sales Engineer consist of, but are not limited to the following:

    • Promote and sell company’s range of services – Rental and shutdown, Service contracts
      (new/renewal/enhancement), Spare part sales
    • Develop new potential customer bases and manage existing accounts to achieve monthly
      and annual sales target.
    • Lead and manage tendering process, covering both after sales and sales support (service
      portion) which includes tender listing, updates, online monitoring …
    • Maintain and develop good relationships with customers and internal stake holders
    • Work closely with sales and marketing team on the market promotions both offline and
      online activities.
    • Work closely in the assigned market and gather market intelligence on the services demand.
    • Customer cold calling, sales presentation, proposal and contract negotiation
    • Liaison with relevant parties such as customers, lead engineers, coordinators and logistic
      pertaining to queries, technical issues, status and deliveries.
    • Proactively follow up on the new contracts/ contract renewals for the expiring contract.
    • Effective communication of technical information to sales channel partners, customers and
      external parties in an accurate and concise manner in both a written and verbal media.
    • Ensure ad hoc Screening of new customers and filing in conforming to audit requirements
    • Processes quotations, pricing and expediting customers’ requests and enquiries
    • Actively follow-up on quotations to customers to pursue issuance of purchase order or work
    • Maintains and updates customer Quotation data (spareparts /rental) and contracts
    • To provide support to other service activities that may be assigned in the course of work

    Position Requirements

    • Education: Diploma in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electrical-Electronic Engineering.
    • Related Experience: Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in service/engineering/presales/sales position in similar industry. Process/hardware/instrument experience is an added advantage.
    • Skills, Special Competencies, or Certifications:

    – Good analytical and communication skill.

    – Able to undertake weekend or odd hours work when required.

    – Customer service oriented.

    – Team player

    – Microsoft office, other IT skills (networking, etc..) plus
